The crane joystick is an input device consisting of a base and a main control rod, which is pivotally mounted thereon, for transmitting an angle or direction signal to the device it controls. At present the joystick is mainly used to manipulate video games, usually with one or more buttons, button status can also be computer identification. The most popular analogue application for joysticks is the analog stick used in modern electronic game consoles.
The forklift joysticks has been a major flight controller in many aircraft, particularly military jet cabin cockpits, divided into center and side bars (see center pole on opposite side).
Joysticks are also used to control machines such as cranes, trucks, underwater robots and zero turn radius lawn mowers.
